Setting Up Telegram Notifications

  1. Start a chat with the DNS Check bot

    Open Telegram and start a chat with @dnscheckdev_bot.

  2. Get your chat ID

    Send the command /start to the bot. It will reply with your chat ID.

  3. Add Telegram notifications

    In DNS Check, go to Settings > Notifications > Add Destination and select Telegram.

  4. Enter your chat ID

    Paste your Telegram chat ID and click "Add".

  • Domain expiration warnings
  • SSL certificate alerts
  • System updates

Group Chat Support

To receive notifications in a group chat:

  1. Add @dnscheckdev_bot to your group
  2. Make the bot an admin (required for sending messages)
  3. Send /start in the group to get the group chat ID
  4. Use this chat ID in DNS Check settings

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

  • Not receiving messages

    Ensure you've started a chat with the bot and that you're using the correct chat ID.

  • Bot not responding in group

    Verify that the bot has admin privileges in the group chat.

  • Interactive buttons not working

    Try restarting the chat with the bot using /start.

The Telegram integration is designed with security in mind:
